About Remedio

About Remedio

Remedio is transforming how organizations reduce cyber risk.

While most security tools focus on finding problems, Remedio focuses on fixing them. The Remedio Autonomous Remediation Platform helps organizations continuously reduce exposure by safely remediating vulnerabilities, hardening systems, enforcing compliance, governing applications, and controlling AI risk at machine speed.

Unlike traditional approaches that create more alerts, reports, and backlogs, Remedio combines deep dependency awareness, pre-execution validation, automated remediation, and instant rollback capabilities to help enterprises safely eliminate risk across endpoints, servers, applications, and AI systems.

Backed by leading investors and trusted by some of the world's largest organizations, Remedio is building the future of autonomous exposure reduction.

We work in a hybrid model from our office near the HaShalom train station and the Light Rail. The office is located on the 58th floor and includes panoramic views, an on-site gym, a gaming area, ping pong, and a fully stocked kitchen.

About the Role

As a Principal Backend Engineer, you will be a senior hands-on member of our backend team, building the systems that collect, process, and remediate vulnerability data from millions of endpoints across some of the world’s largest enterprises.

This is a development-focused individual contributor role. You will spend most of your time designing and building production systems, while also influencing technical decisions, raising engineering standards, and helping other engineers solve complex problems.

You will own major features and technical initiatives from initial design through production, working closely with Product, engineering leadership, and other development teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate scalable backend systems used by large enterprise customers
  • Own complex features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation to deployment and customer adoption
  • Write high-quality production code and remain deeply involved in day-to-day development
  • Make architectural decisions for major features and platform capabilities
  • Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
  • Build resilient systems that can handle temporary failures, high traffic volumes, and changing workloads
  • Identify technical limitations and lead architectural improvements before they become bottlenecks
  • Define and promote strong engineering practices around testing, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, and production ownership
  • Collaborate with Product and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Mentor engineers through technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews, without direct people management responsibility

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience
  • Strong experience developing scalable production systems using a high-level programming language, with preference for Go
  • Experience designing and building distributed, cloud-native systems
  • Proven ownership of complex features or technical initiatives from design through production
  • Experience working with containers, Kubernetes, databases, and cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, observability, and failure handling
  • Experience writing testable code and contributing to CI/CD processes
  • Ability to make sound technical tradeoffs and communicate them clearly to engineers, Product, and other stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
  • High ownership mindset and a collaborative, team-oriented approach

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cybersecurity, endpoint management, or enterprise SaaS
  • Experience building high-volume systems connected to agents or devices
  • Experience with security-sensitive systems, including least privilege, auditability, and secure software delivery
  • Experience with both cloud and on-prem environments
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers or leading technical initiatives across multiple teams
